Who lived at the Old Watch House?

Arthur Field
Number two on the Swanage Art Trail, info on this painting by Walter Field includes commentary on historic Swanage. An early "tourist resort" made popular by the arrival of the railway, visitors came to Swanage for their health and pleasure. The commentary goes on to mention that Walter's youngest son, Arthur, bought the Old Watch House (which is the building next door to the RNLI Lifeboat Station).

Why not keep your eyes open for more sites on the Art Trail - or better yet, take a journey of discovery and follow the trail. See their website or pick up a leaflet from the Tourist Information Centre.
